Hello Committee! We've got two people that are interested in blogging for the website and no method for allowing them to do so.  I would like to suggest a simple solution that we could build upon later.  Option #1:  The WordPress system was made to handle blogging with role restrictions.  We could set up each blogger with a login that would limit them to create posts but only to save them as Drafts;  an Editor or an Administrator would need to publish the blog.  With this method, we would need to log into the blog to review potential postings and them Publish them if we approve.  Option #2:  We could also allow the bloggers posting access to this thread, and let them place their blog here with any pictures as attachments.  We could then review the blog and one of us would post it to the web, under their blog name of course.  The disadvantage here is that we would still have to create logins for the bloggers (so they could have posting credit), which is a little more work on our end.  The advantage is that the entire committee can see the blog posts before they are approved. My thoughts are that we should go for option #1, and designate two committee members that have Editor or better access to the site as capable of reviewing the blogs for errors and any other issues that might inhibit posting. What do we all think?  Harry Hempy is at the Democracy Convention starting tomorrow and he would like to be able to blog some of his experiences as they occur.

I agree with Option #1.  Council members can still read the blog posts and object on the council forum if they feel the need, where a decision could be made to remove an objectionable post that got by.  Michael HaugheyAJ Greens

Yes, I'm good with #1 as well.  That seems to be a safe protocol.Andrea MeridaDenver Greenshttp://denvergreenparty.org
