The People's Fair is a great place to get attention of people of all ages, and after considering all angles, I feel strongly that the State Party would be served well by having a presence there. We have about $2600 in the coffers. The booth would cost less than $300, including some handouts. Our goals might be: - informing: let's make sure to cover local/state/national issues, have our volunteers focus on those messages and the handouts. - donations/sales: we can have some t-shirts, buttons, and bumper stickers on hand.- registrations: we may be able to do registrations, depending on the laws and the regulations at the event. - building morale: there are new volunteers that would enjoy the opportunity to spread the word.I am going to draft a proposal this weekend. Are there any preliminary issues that anyone would like addressed that I could include in the proposal to ensure swift passage? Some issues were noted in the original events thread, though I tried to cover them here. Original "Events" thread: http://gpco.fullydefiant.com/forum/index.php?topic=227.0
