August has come and gone and we don't seem to be moving on this resolution, either with the original or a substitute. It is unclear how to go about this.
Bill, OK, OK. Can we do this without sounding like mitch mconnell – the guy who's stuck in the Libyan ambassador's death? Keep in mind, it will be very soon the 20+ year old technology of cheap, pre-target programmed (with GPS) guided missiles, that will hit Isreal's most sacred places, will be in Arab hands. In fact, it's surprising they aren't already!
I can try another draft, but after two tries I was a little tired of nitpicking the details. Any version I draft is likely to highlight Israel as the aggressor, mainly because that's they way I see it. If we want something softer on Israel, and softer on religion, perhaps someone else can come up with a draft that might be more palatable for those who have some allegiance to the Israeli state. I have no allegiance to either side, and I hold no fealty to people's religious fanaticism regarding the "Holy Land". These two things may be problematic for some of our members who have taken issue with my wording.
