Convention Committee

again, i'm not sure if this is appropriate, but i thought i remember that the co-chairs had the authority to name committees. to that end, if that's true (can someone clarify?), i would like to see bill and i name ryan as chair of a convention committee, and ask for volunteers to assist him. they can begin planning work and reporting to council, as ryan has suggested in his proposal.

we found out that co-chairs couldn't name committees anymore. the bylaws have been changed and only the Council could name committees. so we went back to the listserve and had a council vote to create the Convention Committee. we now have a separate section of the Forum for the work of the Convention Committee. only members of the committee can comment, but all members should be able to see what is happening there. go to “Convention Committee” under Committees & Working Groups
