Michael Haughey and I had an informal phone meeting on November 10, 2013 during which we discussed a number of items, some website-related.  The following are the items from that conversation which should be included in future web committee considerations. [hr]Website Committee tasks:- "new topic" email message is cryptic, needs to direct reader to thread notifications- research plug-in to notify when any comment is made on a forum thread- volunteer form should have drop-down field for county of residence    - setup autoreply for each form    - need a volunteer to forward new submissions /volunteers to local chapters- local chapter pages on website, michael wants access to change /edit/post his chapter's page    - consider solutions to allow local chapters a way to keep their state-hosted pages current  - could be a plug-in for that..? - Website oversight position:  chapter chairs verify that their event posts happen, and who to contact if they are not.  Website Committee Governance: - consider a living document to describe the website procedures as they are developed – would make it easier for chapter chairs to understand what is being proposed- longer-term plan to transition website to a separate host and Colo Greens owned domain, with a transition plan as current webmasters move on- noted the need for state committee members to have access to training re: their roles, responsibilities, and the tools they have available to them
