Hello all,I thought I'd take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Brittany and I am a 23 year old grad student in Colorado Springs. I work as an athletic trainer for woodland park high school as well as a wellness attendant for YMCA. I enjoy many things such as fitness, hiking, rock climbing, crochet, snowboarding, gardening, reading, etc. I am on the Peace and Justice committee at my church, the Broadmoor Community Church, and I also volunteer with the Trap Neuter Return program at the Humane Society. I also wanted to point out that there are about three openings on city council here in Colorado Springs. I was thinking about running, but I just don't think I have the time to devote, nor the experience or knowledge. Apparently there's not a lot of interest being shown for the opening with only one person officially running, and she's already a council member up for re-election. I thought I'd pass along for any green party members who'd be interested in the position(s). I thought it'd be a good opportunity to get some greens actively participating in the local government

Hi Brittany! I'll be the first to say "welcome!" and thank you for introducing yourself with such eloquence. As for the council spot in the Springs, I'll make a note of it and make sure our Pike's Peak Greens are aware.  In an uncontested election, we could take a stand on some vital issues.
