The agreement seeking period will be seven (7) days. A 60% quorum is required for passage. Thank you,Bill Bartlett, Co-chair and Interim Council Facilitator[hr]Date Proposed: June 4, 2012, Proposed by Bill Bartlett, cosponsored by Ryan JonesTitle: Expense Reimbursement for Party ActivitiesText: We propose to reimburse Ryan Jones for his expenses during Dr. Jill Stein's visit on April 20, 2012. The GPCO would reimburse Ryan Jones for total expenses of $232.71. The national party will be reimbursing us for $166.78. See background for more information. Background: This April, The Green Party of Colorado welcomed Jill Stein to the state. She spoke in Boulder when the campus tried to shut down the public 420 celebration. Our party also provided her an opportunity as a keynote speaker at the Denver 420 Rally. Ryan Jones footed the bill for these expenses. We've rounded up the necessary receipts for submission to the Stein campaign, but it would be supportive of the state party to pay Ryan for his expenses and apply the reimbursement from the Stein campaign to the GPCO when it arrives. We are asking the Stein campaign to reimburse us for everything but the hotel room we rented for our State Party members. The cost our room ($65.93) would be appropriate to confer upon the state party. The remainder ($166.78) will be reimbursed to us by the Stein election campaign. The total payment to Ryan Jones from the GPCO would be $232.71. Our party will await reimbursement from the Stein campaign in the amount of $166.78. Goals/Justification: The goal is to get Ryan Jones paid back as soon as possible for his expenses to support state Green Party events. Ryan is also going to Baltimore for the national convention, so expediting his reimbursement would be supportive of his trip on behalf of the party. Alternatives: Wait for the Stein Campaign for President to reimburse Ryan, which may result in additional interest charges and restrictions on his personal spending.
