The procedures document refers to the council, not the forum.  The forum didn't even exist when the procedures document was dated.i think it makes sense to have an independent facilitator for the forum.BTW - the bylaws, regarding posting proposals, state:3.4. Endorsements and Sign-ons on public issues:3.4.1 Any proposal for endorsement or sign-on from a Chapter, a Chapter representative, a Committee co-chair, or Officer of the GPCO will be considered by the Council. It seems pretty clear that the intent is for council reps to be able to author and post proposals.Michael HaugheyJC Greens

Michael, the forum is the vehicle by which the state council meets. Please move this discussion to the appropriate forum board.  This one is not it.Thank you.

my vote is for arn menconi.as (i believe) the oldest continuous member of the green party of colorado, it is very disturbing to witness such a deep division in the party with old members being pushed aside and new members seeking to take control and being dismissive of long-time members.i believe when we wrote the original bylaws, there was supposed to be respect for gender and geographic balance in the co-chair position. has that changed?art goodtimessan miguel greens

35,000 people thought Arn would be a good leader including me and I would like to vote him into a leadership position with the Green Party of Colorado as I so appreciated having the opportunity to pass out 100s of flyers in Denver and many other cities to people who were previously unaware of the Green Party and Arn's positions on healthcare like education a necessity for advancement of populations, an end to killing for resources, and many other things.  I loved joining with other progressives downtown in a protest against him as a Green Party member being shut out of the US senators debate in Colorado and was sorry not to see the other Denver Greens there.  I looked for a result of Robert Lee Worthy's and Janice Dove's total votes, but had a hard time finding them.  I think it would be good to have a Green Party candidate as a Green Party Co-Chair and one with maturity in age and experience in office and as a candidate who ran for office because maybe this will help the GPOC support candidates in Colorado next time.I vote for the following:1.  Arn Menconi2.  I vote for Robert Lee Worthy as my number 2 choice. Finally I would like to vote for Dave Bell who has helped me with my election and Tom, my husband, with the CO state Treasurer records, but I will not vote for him this time, but will another time when I would not have suspected that he and Andrea colluded in pressuring my friend and fellow Green member from feeling forced out of the Green Party Co-Chair position due to calling women girls, which I unthinkingly did the other day and apologized for it; whereupon the women stated it was alright.  I did not tell them that this was part of the reason my friend was pressured to leave the Green Political Party and that someone else used a word meaning something sexual and nothing came of it.  I know there were other issues but never-the-less to simply say the Co-Chair resigned is deceptive because he was under so much pressure.  I felt he was forced out of his position and guessed even before this took place that Andrea would be working to have Dave Bell a supporter of hers in that position.  It might be good for the GPOC to have someone as CoChair not previously suspected of planning to be in a special predetermined position of power when Bill was pressured to leave his position.

    Arn please.

Greg, you previously abstained.Would you please clarify your vote?  You have until midnight tonight to do so, or this should be treated as a double vote and therefore cancelled.Thank you.

Andrea,Anyone can change their vote, and many have done so in the past.  This is why we need an independent forum facilitator.  Facilitating and moderating the forum is not the same as facilitating the council (as in running the meetings).  This is a clear conflict of interest for you.Michael HaugheyJefferson County Green Party

I am asking for a clarification.Has he changed his vote, or has he double voted? As the chair of his local, you can help clarify.  Please ask him to come back and address this.  I will not divine the intent of someone I do not know.

I accept that Dave Bell won the vote. But reporting 2 rounds of counting may confuse people about how IRV works.Bell actually won on the first round by virtue of receiving a clear majority of the first place votes. The instant run-off (round 2) was not needed.
