MemberFrom 350.org:Please join 350.org and allies across the country for our “DRAW THE LINE “ Action Day, on Saturday, September 21, 2013.We’re putting people power to work again, to show President Obama that our commitment to defending our communities and stopping the tar sands is non-negotiable.In the past few weeks, President Obama has said that he's willing to stop the pipeline if he thinks it ‘significantly contribute
’ to climate change -- and so it's time for us to take action together once more.Together we will draw lines that send an unmistakable message that the tar sands are a climate disaster and President Obama must stop the pipeline. In the Denver Metro Area, join local 350.org groups and our allies, in gathering at the Capitol Building, and marching along the 16thSt. Mall to the Suncor Tar Sands Refinery Office and then ending at the Canadian Consul Office. (The route is about 14 blocks total.)When: Saturday, September 21, 2013,at 12pmWhere:Meet at the Colorado Capitol Building, 200 E. Colfax Ave., Denver, CO 80203. (On the West Steps)What To Wear: We’re asking participants to wear a black shirt or coat, so we can put a white tape line across our bodies, to create a huge Line when we stand side by side. What to Bring: Make signs with a picture (a photo or your own artistic creation) that says “I Draw the Line on KXL to stop_(e.g. wildfires) or "...for (e.g. my kids)."(If you are unable to join us in Denver, you can still make a statement and join us in spirit - make a sign, take a picture and post your photos on the350 Colorado Facebook page here.)Please help us make this event a success! RSVP on Facebook hereand click "invite friends" to invite your friends and family members! Thanks for taking a stand against the Keystone XL pipeline and for a sustainable future! The 350 Colorado Teamhttp://www.350Colorado.org -
