We'll want to have some time to discuss NationBuilder — a Q&A period would also be helpful.  Might be something to do toward the end of the meeting.

Here is the draft agenda that Harry, Laura and I have been working on:2015 Annual Meeting of the Green Party of ColoradoAugust 29, 20159:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Corky Gonzales Branch LibraryDenver, ColoradoAgenda (preliminary version)Morning Session:1) Co-chairs convene the meeting - 9:30 a.m.2) Local host gives a welcome and offers logistical information - 9:40 a.m.3) Credentials report and establishment of quorum - 9:45 a.m.4) Agenda review and adoption - 10 a.m.5) Chapter introductions and reports/Unaffiliated Greens introductions - 10:15 a.m.6) Reports from state party officers and committees - 10:15 a.m.    Co-chairs    Secretary    Treasurer    National delegates    Council Facilitator    Website    Fundraising    Strategic Planning7) Election of state officers (2 co-chairs, 1 treasurer and 1 secretary), 2 national delegates, council facilitator - 10:45 p.m.Lunch Break - 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.Afternoon Session:[the newly elected co-chairs chair the afternoon session]8) Discussion: the Sanders campaign 1 pm8) Resolutions/Political Statements 1:30 p.m9) Collaborative Strategic Planning Session - 2:00 p.m.10) Future Business - 4:00 p.m.11) Adjourn - 4:30 p.m.A few notes:There is a hope that we can do a "pre-credential registration" via a webform, so that all we need to do onsite is to check a drivers' license against the pre-credential list.  However, Harry feels that we should not be checking IDs at all.We are including a specific agenda item to discuss the Bernie Sanders campaign.  It has been noted that Greater Boulder is contemplating whether to support that campaign, as an aside.Bob Kinsey's specific request to strategize on campaigns should probably be included in the strategic planning.  As Art Goodtimes has verbally addressed with Laura Clark, we are political party and we should be running solid, viable candidates in smaller races that we can win.  The Nationbuilder discussion should be part of that discussion as well, because we need tools for the job. What other ideas do folks have?  If there are no other ideas, I'd move that we adopt this, pending formal adoption at the meeting itself, per this proposed agenda (and per precedent).

I love the agena, in general.  Though I have suggestions on the timing, I'll hold those for now..  Two major suggestions: NationBuilder and Strategic Planning: It might be beneficial to begin the strategic planning session with a live demonstration of NationBuilder.  I've become familiar with the basics, and could show how it could directly impact fundraising and volunteer networks, two things we know it would help us with. What do you think about adding the NB demo at the beginning of the planning session?  This tool could be a powerful centerpiece for future growth.  It would be a big positive if everyone understood what it can do as we plan for the next 2-5 years. BernieOne piece I do not like, and would like removed, is discussion on the Bernie Sanders campaign.  There is no reason to take up state party time considering any particular candidate than one of ours!  If this is an issue, I'd rather discuss it verbally.  I move to strike it from the agenda.

(e.g. Treasurer’s Report)

    • Harry – draft sample ballots if we were to use either approval or rank voting.  Will then make recommendation on voting method.

I would like to withdraw the suggestion we use approval or rank voting to elect party officers. Rationale:1. The agenda is full enough that introducing a different voting method, with the discussion that would be involved, might not fit conveniently in the time available. 'Voting methods' does not need to be a topic of discussion in this meeting.2. The question of voting method for this meeting will likely be moot. I would be surprised if there is actually a contest for positions. So, for co-chair and national representative positions I suggest members vote for up to two candidates. This is probably what the party has done in the past.-Harry

A small correction to the agenda:The agenda says 2 "National Delegates" will be elected. The text should be changed to "National Representatives".

LClark:  Suggesting we re-think amount of time spent discussing Sanders campaign.

It looks like we will be voting on a bylaws change that says, in part,

A Green Local must agree to . . . Openly support only the national candidates selected by Green convention . . . .

I think discussion of the Sanders campaign will come up during discussion of this bylaws change. So we could drop the “Sanders for President – a Green Perspective” agenda item.

Need to figure out options for lunch.

How about asking people if they want to order a catered lunch during registration? Would we have time to phone in the order (around 10:00 am) for delivery at 11:30?

Audio/Visual – Will we have ability to display information to audience? (e.g. Treasurer’s Report)

Good question. We need a computer and projection device. I can supply a laptop, but don't have a projector.Presumably there is internet access.  Also, do we have the Skype logistics figured out?
