Hello, colleagues.  Hope you are all well.First, we have to hold a state meeting early next year to choose our presidential preference, and state law sets that deadline by no later than April 16, 2016.Therefore, I think March 12 would be a good date for the next state meeting, but before making arrangements, I wanted to check in with you all first, to see if there were any insurmountable objections. The state election calendar is here: https://www.sos.state.co.us/pubs/elections/calendars/2016ElectionCalendar.pdfI'd like to leave a deadline for comments, suggestions, etc. to November 15, please.  Barring issues, I will book a space for March 12 after that point.Secondly, we have made changes to the website.  We have had some challenges with functionality, having branded emails and more.  The site is back up at http://coloradogreenparty.org as usual, but we're seeing this as temporary until we get ourselves situated with Nationbuilder.  We still could use more content, like blog posts, as well as a list of your local meetings to post on the website, along with your contact information.  This is a good time for me to encourage each of you to start making some level of recurring donation to the state party.  Right now, only two people are making recurring donations.  Can you all commit to making a recurring donation of at least $5 a month? Please visit the website and look for the "Make a Recurring Donation" section on the right-hand side of the page.Any questions?Thank you.

Let's always endeavor to be in compliance with state election law. March 12 is good.

Sounds good to me. I'll add it to my calendar. I'll send an update on Arapahoe meetings to you soon. And I second the call for supporters. If we're able, we have to show that we're committed to the party if we want others to do the same.

I will check with Tom, Kevin, and Harry tomorrow about the March 12th date and remind them about the $5.00.  Thanks for seeing about this Andrea.

Nominations for US Congress and all partisan state and local offices will also be made at the 2016 annual meeting. If the meeting is on March 12, candidates for nomination would have to be identified by January 27 (45 days prior to annual meeting). We can give ourselves an additional month for candidate recruiting by having the meeting on April 16.

March 12th is fine, but to Harry's point, is there a downside to having the meeting in April?Either date works for me.

Keep in mind, folks, that people need to be registered as a Green before the end of the year.  So let's get crackin'.

Ok, to button this up, I don't have any reason why NOT to have this meeting in April, so I'm going to shoot for April 9.That will give us sufficient time to get in any reporting, etc., before the April 16 deadline.  Thanks for your participation!

April 9 was discussed.  April 3 is in the previous post and is a Sunday.  Is that what was intended?

    #1161

The 9th wasn't available at the FREE place we're getting.
