The cool thing is that this library is very tech savvy, so we could have our remote counties Skype in with no problems. It has a large computer monitor screen so that it's easy for everyone to watch, too.

After some discussion with some remote chapters, it appears that a video conference option/Skype/Google Hangout would be a very welcome option. Bill and I discussed yesterday via phone the possibility of doing such a thing, and I will start looking into pricing, etc.We would have to have a very tight agenda, because people cannot be on a video conference all day long. As a result, I am spearheading an audit and cleanup of the participants on the council forum and verifying who really should be there, so we can streamline the discussion beforehand. It really should be motions, votes and clarification, in my mind. Bringing people up to speed on issues should probably happen on the forum.So far, I have spoken with Boulder, Arapahoe, Pikes Peak, Adams-Jeffco, and San Miguel to get their personnel cleared up. I have emails/calls in to Southwest, Poudre Valley.Will keep you posted.
I'd like to move (whatever way seems appropriate) that we extend this vote a few more days. This is an important structural vote, and we haven't heard from two of our most vigorous chapters.How do we extend this vote?
Wanted to point out that HB 15-1300 failed as well. I will be making a proposal to support the upcoming Community Rights ballot initiative, which is the restart of Initiative 75. It would cover what 1300 wanted to do.I am also submitting a proposal to endorse 15 Now Colorado, who are bringing a ballot initiative to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour in Colorado, plus allow municipalities to raise as they see fit.
Harry, I think your block is out of order. This proposal calls for a REPLACEMENT within the current term of office. We don't have a procedure for such a thing, and the council vote, which we're taking now, would be proper.When is the next annual meeting? Has it been decided yet?Please withdraw your block, Harry. I don't understand the need to upset the apple cart. Do you disagree with the proposal, aside from your interpretation of the rules?
