Member“Five members” refers to proposals for the state meeting. At that point, five separate members could bring a proposal.Because you are attempting to bring a proposal within the council, however, 3.5.3, item 1, applies.Again, one your proposal has reached the 3.5.3 threshold, you all may resubmit. Thanks.

MemberJudy, the material part of 3.5.3 is the following, which I have bolded for emphasis:3.5.3. The Council will discuss via email issues raised among its representatives or by any GreenParty member who participates. Any councilmember or Committee may submit a proposal to theconvener or facilitator for discussion. Appointed state representatives of local chapters will havethe ability to make proposals to the State Council directly under the following conditions:1. That the proposal be made by the representative and two more members of the local chapter, one of those members being an elected or appointed officer of that local chapter. The proposal is out of order, and as I have instructed the presenters of the proposal, you can resubmit once you meet that threshold. The entire document is here, for everyone's perusal: http://coloradogreenparty.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/PG-20041.pdfThank you.

MemberIt will be in August or September. There can be separate meeting to take care of any nominations for office, but we co-chairs and other officers were elected on August 29, 2015, and the co-chair positions are for two years.

MemberOnce Dave Bell gets back from vacation, he and I will discuss this further. It could very well be that we both assume the duties until officer elections happen in August or so.

MemberHi Judy! Take a look at the bylaws, section 4.5: http://coloradogreenparty.org/about/bylaws/At first blush, it appears that for any candidate seeking any office, for us to promote/endorse, they would have to be a Green and an active member of your local. However, Poudre may have more specific rules.Holler if you have questions. 303-550-0677.

MemberI am asking for a clarification.Has he changed his vote, or has he double voted? As the chair of his local, you can help clarify. Please ask him to come back and address this. I will not divine the intent of someone I do not know.

MemberGreg, you previously abstained.Would you please clarify your vote? You have until midnight tonight to do so, or this should be treated as a double vote and therefore cancelled.Thank you.

MemberYour commentary is not germane to this thread, and you will still be bound by the basic requirements for proposals. Only locals may submit, not individuals. As you will not cast a vote, please refrain from further unrelated commentary here and confine any other comments to the discussion threads.Thank you.

MemberGiven your post, Michael, should we assume that (a) you withdraw your second to nominate Arn Menconi and (b) cancel the vote you cast here? How should we interpret your intent here?

MemberThe voting will not be halted. Please cast the vote per the instruction of your local, or move aside so that an alternate from your local can be chosen to vote. There is already precedent for this, as I mentioned. Your continued attempts to derail a democratic process that not only follows party custom and the bylaws, are becoming disruptive, with no clear purpose. Please vote or ask your local to name an alternate to vote in your place.
