MemberI do love the flier's basic design. Perhaps it would be beneficial for the locals to have access to them and to print them as needed locally? This might allow for a more effective distribution. After all, we would still have to get fliers to each local after having them all printed. If we would like to get the word out about the Greens and we are willing to spend that high a percentage of our state funds, it may be wiser to come together and determine what medium would be most effective. I recently talked to independent radio station in Boulder and Fort Collins about airtime, and I've made some inroads to cannabis-oriented Internet radio as well. Radio is a pretty inexpensive medium to get into, reaches a large audience, and can be done with little overhead. What do you think about both ideas? 1. Distribute the filer files to locals so they can be printed and posted in their areas as needed. 2. Investigating an advertising investment for our Greens, perhaps Independent radio or Internet radio?

MemberThe first round of updates have been completed. In addition to Ryan's plans that were approved by our panel, there are some other small things that have been changed. I would like the web committee to check it out and report back with any problems found or things that could use changing. The patience is paying off; the site's looking great! Bill

MemberThanks for clarifying Ryan! I wasn't real sure how to approach the findings, but I think they provide a firm foundation from which we could, as a committee, use to come up with a comprehensive approach to getting all Green Locals into compliance with state law. At this point we are actually a month late on our findings (my math was poor when I drafted this yesterday). I'd like to see us pull together and release our findings by the end of the month at the latest.

MemberI think I may have posted this to the wrong area, since we are actually in the agreement seeking phase of this proposal. Perhaps I should have put it under Proposal Discussion…? I am open to input. At this stage, "Agree", "Disagree", or "Stand Aside" are appropriate responses.

MemberThank you for your detailed feedback Tanya! I agree with all of your points, although I think we will have to do something special for the Forum link until we are ready to bring the public into it. I especially like the idea of adding links to the League of Women Voters and VoteSmart, and even sites like OpenSecrets and OpenCongress. I'll orchestrate the changes between Jonesy and Liz and myself as much as possible. I am intrigued about some new merch but that's a topic for another thread... 😉

MemberGood morning! Sorry for the confusion! As we prepared the forum for council business, we decided it might be a good idea to simplify according to some of the feedback from the state meeting. To this end, we have condensed the Council General Discussion and Events of Interest boards into one board: Private Council Discussion. It is housekeeping a very basic level, in preparation for more public use in the future. You will find all of your previous conversations in the Private Council Discussion board. I apologize for the confusion. Another change is that Colorado Green Discussion Category has been locked to prevent further discussion there. We felt that simple would be better for everyone at first, and the fewer boards there are to check, the easier it will be for council members to get used to the forum. 🙂
