MemberHi Folks,There are several places we could meet for an early dinner or happy hour. Everything from Italian to your standard American food. I have heard Perry's Pizza is a good place, and the Landsdown has good Irish Food. They have a room in the back we might be able to reserve if that sounds good.

MemberYes, the space does have wifi. And we have the room from 9:00am to 4:00pm. If folks think we need more time I might be able to arrange that, and the cost would not go up. As for numbers I asked to have tables set up for 50 people however the room can hold close to 80 or more people. (It is used for camps in the summer, as well as birthday parties and other functions) There is two sinks in the room, and yes we can have food in the room. However, no alcohol is allowed. Just thought that, this should be stated 🙂 Hope this helps. Chris

MemberGOOD NEWS!!!! WE ARE GOING TO HAVE THE STATE MEETING AT THE REC. CENTER ON AUGUST 24TH. WORKED THROUGH THE ISSUES SO WE ARE ABLE TO HAVE THE CONVENTION AT THAT LOCATION. AGAIN THE LOCATION IS: The Westridge Recreation Center located at 9650 Foothills Canyon Blvd. Highlands Ranch, Colorado 80129. The room that we will be meeting in is the Falcon Room. We have the room from 9:00am to 4:00pm and we don't have to worry about set up or break down. They will take care of that for us.

MemberJust to keep you updated. The rec. center still may be an option, after talking to the facilities supervisor today. Had a very good problem solving conversation. 🙂 Let you know more tomorrow.

MemberFirst of all, sorry about this bouncing around on locations. First we had the library reserved a few weeks ago, then they notified us a about a week ago that the room was no longer available to the public. Then I talked to the rec. center on Monday of this week and the supervisor on duty said it would not be a problem for us to have a space for a full day. However, I was informed yesterday by another supervisor (of a little known policy it seems) that they do not rent rooms out for all day programs to non-profits. I will be addressing this issue with the head of facilities today. Never had troubles like this before. I will be looking for other locations in here in Douglas County in the next couple of days. I will call the schools again, as well as hotels in the area to see if they have space. We will make this happen 🙂 Would anybody have objections to using a church space if need be?
