MemberNice! It'll be good to see how the dual website works out. Maybe a good model for how we could handle all of our old info but still get the benefits of a Nation Builder site?

MemberAgree.Susan, this specifically mentions the Southern Arapaho nation, because that's where our recent state meeting was. For any future meetings, we would need to do the research to find out whose land we are on.

MemberI would suggest the following modified version:The Green Party of Colorado is committed to electing and supporting candidates
peoplewho are dedicated to empowering you and your community to create a more just, harmonious, and ecologically sustainable society based on the Ten Key Values of the Green Party of the United States.I think this captures both our identity as a political party and our commitment to our shared values and vision.August 28, 2015 at 9:15 pm in reply to: Proposal 008-15: Amendment to the Bylaws: Chapter Accreditation #1096Sean Friend

MemberI'm late to the party, my apologies. Agree.

MemberHarry, I think that amendment would set a bad precedent and sends the message that we're more of a social club or a caucus within the Democratic Party than a separate political party that actually intends to win elections. I also take issue with the idea that voting for a Democrat anywhere would ever be the “only meaningful vote.” In my view, registering Green in those places is even more important if we're ever going to offer a viable alternative to the two major parties. How can we ask rank and file voters to register (or even vote) Green if we won't do it ourselves and in fact believe that their only meaningful vote is for which Democrat should run for office?

MemberForgive my ignorance, but I'm not sure how we handle changes to the proposal. Would we need a new proposal to amend the existing Proposal? I agree with the proposal as is and am open to discussing changes if we think they're needed.

MemberI have some time over the next week for a phone conference, since I'm still on paternity leave. I've heard great things about Nation Builder from a friend that works for the Greens in Australia, so I'm excited to see what it might do for us here in Colorado.

MemberMy vote is for August 29, and I love the location suggested. It really is a cool spot.
